Finder’s Hill Farm got it’s start in 1996. In 2002 we acquired our first alpacas. Beyond that we could give our resumes or our life histories but we know you came here to find out about our alpacas. So as far as this web site is concerned, suffice it to say that we love animals in general and alpacas specifically. We are seriously interested in the fiber-production potential of alpacas and are fascinated by the selective breeding process. We carefully choose top-quality males for our females — and then wait a year to see the results… No instant gratification in this business! But then, we’re in this for the long haul. And our efforts have already been rewarded by the improvement in quality of each successive generation of alpacas here at Finder’s Hill Farm. What a business! Living with such charming animals - beautiful and useful. Throw in a bit of healthy physical labor, a bit of science, a bit of art (fiber-art, that is), a lovely landscape, and you’ve got a way of life. Maybe even a vocation.
